This project was not only intended to be a park but also a social center where people congregate, work out, kids can play safely, and the natural hues merge in with the urban landscape.
The Maltepe Başıbüyük Park and Social Facilities project is a vast recreational space that was created to satisfy Istanbul's demand for green space and provide a welcome change of pace to city life. The project, which spans 60,000 m2, includes public amenities, sports fields, and landscaping with an emphasis on community benefit and environmental sustainability.
From 2013 to 2015, the Maltepe Başıbüyük Park and Social Facilities Project was finished.

- In order to assist incorporate nature into the city, 43,000 m² of green space was set up.
- To establish a long-lasting green canopy, 350 mature trees were planted.
- To increase aesthetic appeal throughout the seasons, 30,000 ground-cover plants and seasonal flowers were introduced.
- To create a layer of natural vegetation, 16,000 bushes were planted.
- A 1,200-square-meter social center was constructed to give guests places to unwind and mingle.
- For convenience, a parking area with space for 105 cars was planned.
- To guarantee a secure atmosphere around-the-clock, security andlighting systems were combined.
- Ramps and accessible pathways were built to make the area usable by all guests.
- To provide a contemporary and secure space for young people to skate, a 2,100 m² skatepark was constructed.
- Age-appropriate play units were incorporated into the design of a 950 m² children's playground.
- A 910-square-meter basketball court was constructed to encourage outdoor exercise.
- Walking trails, rest spaces, and social facilities are all connected by 17,000 m² of hardscaping, creating a logical and easily navigable design.
The project's vast green areas, contemporary public facilities, and sustainable design concept have completely changed the area's personality. Residents can appreciate nature in the city thanks to eco-friendly gardening. The sports and leisure zones, which were created using an innovative urban planning strategy, provide residents with a vibrant, healthy lifestyle that is in balance with the environment.
